PROJECT: Closet expansion, exposing brick wall & bath make-over

Boston, Commercial Street

OBJECTIVE:

  • We removed the drywall and framing from one of the bedroom walls to expose the bricks.
  • Re-pointed all the bricks and applied a semi gloss coat of waterproofing to make the bricks pop.
  • Customer wanted a walk-in closet so we expanded it as much as possible without taking too much space from the bedroom.
  • The tub/shower area was out dated and had exposed bricks inside the shower.
  • We removed all the old tiles and installed new tiles that the customer did a great job in selecting.
  • Once the plastering was complete we primed and painted.

New marble shelves and accent tiles.

BEFORE: This pic was right after the wall demo. We discovered there was also exposed blocks.

AFTER: We cleaned out the bricks, re-pointed the wall and the customer did an awesome job covering up the exposed blocks by ordering matching custom mirrors.
